MY TOP THREE ILOCANO FOODS

MY TOP 3 ILOCANO FOO
1.Dinengdeng/ Inabraw

It involves the use of bagoong(fermented salted fish) and backyard vegetables.  Some may look and smell like gross and stomach-revolting, BUT, don’t pass judgments just yet, this dish is delicious and most of the time extremely healthy.

2.Dinuguan:

The Ilocano version of Dinuguan is not soupy but oily- this keeps the dish from spoiling easily. A savory stew of meat simmered rich, thick, spicy gravy of pig blood, garlic, chili, and vinegar.

3.Pinakbet:

Is a traditional ilocano dish, derived from the word "pinakebbet" which means shriveled. It contains sitaw, ampalaya, eggplants, okra, kamatas, and kalabasa, sauted in bagoong.
